🧩 Components library

This library is an extension of the Translational Mechanical library designed for the modeling of hydraulic valves.

Example

To be applied, it is necessary to discretize the geometry of the valve/spool into standard sections, such as thrust surfaces, conical obturators, geometric couplings with drawing, etc...

Acting as an interface between the hydraulic library and mechanics, it allows transforming the fluid pressure into linear force that influences the mass dynamics.

The thrust areas can be fixed or variable with the stroke that depends always on the linear mass of the kinematic chain: the direction of the pressure thrust force on the area is indicated by the arrows in the icon.

In the same way, the passage areas also depend on the mass stroke. The type of dependence (if linear, quadratic, etc...) depends on each component. Consult the component documentation for the formulas.

As explained for the component chains of the mechanical library, the direction of the components (indicated by the arrows in the icon) must be set with the direction parameter as a function of concordance or discordance with the direction of the reference mass.
