SmartFluidPower at Agritechnica 2025: experiences, networking, and new directions for dynamic simulation
From November 9 to 15, we participated at Agritechnica 2025 in Hannover, the world’s largest trade fair dedicated to agricultural technology.
We were delighted to be hosted at the stands of Vis Hydraulics (Hall 16, 16C04) and Sai Hydraulic Motors (Hall 16, 16D12), two companies with whom we share a vision of a more efficient, digital, and sustainable future for the fluid power sector.
It was an intense week, full of meetings, technical discussions, and new ideas on the future of dynamic simulation applied to hydraulic and mechatronic systems.
Direct meetings with fluid power companies
During the week of the fair, we had the opportunity to meet with numerous industrial companies (agricultural machinery manufacturers, hydraulic component manufacturers, and engineering firms) interested in understanding how dynamic simulation can accelerate development and optimize the performance of their systems.
Many companies expressed interest in using simulation to optimize the performance of hydraulic systems already in the design phase, reduce prototype validation times, and evaluate alternative solutions quickly and quantitatively.
Each meeting provided a valuable opportunity to listen to and understand the real needs of companies in the sector:
- what are the daily challenges in designing complex systems
- where are the greatest margins for improvement today
- and what barriers are hindering the adoption of advanced tools such as dynamic simulation.
During the discussions, there was growing interest in the exchange of virtual models between customers and suppliers via FMUs.
Many companies see FMUs as an effective way to make simulation accessible to all departments, integrate component models into system simulations, and facilitate a faster and more collaborative co-development process throughout the supply chain.
Collaborations and synergies
Being present at two leading stands in the sector — Vis Hydraulics and Sai Hydraulic Motors — allowed us to engage directly with visitors on real-world applications and the synergies between hardware development and digital modeling.
- At the Vis Hydraulics stand, many visitors showed interest in the possibility of transforming their integrated systems into complete virtual circuits, integrating detailed models of Vis valves they already use. The most common goal that emerged was to be able to simulate applications in real operating conditions, anticipating the dynamic behavior of the component in the system (often difficult to test physically) and modifying certain parameters to quickly verify their effects on overall performance.
- At the Sai Hydraulic Motors stand, on the other hand, we gathered very interesting feedback on the simulation of real applications by integrating their motor models into complete systems. Many companies highlighted the usefulness of replicating, in a virtual environment, any critical issues or undesirable behaviors observed in the field, so as to quickly identify the causes and intervene on the relevant parameters to optimize performance, efficiency, and stability.
The importance of industry events
Events such as Agritechnica represent much more than a showcase for us: they are a concrete opportunity to:
- gain firsthand knowledge of industrial realities and their daily challenges;
- collect data and direct feedback on market needs and priorities;
- identify the practical obstacles that still slow down the adoption of innovative solutions such as dynamic simulation;
- and above all, transform this input into new directions for research and development, so that we can offer software solutions that are increasingly targeted and useful to companies.
Every discussion at the fair becomes a stimulus to improve our tools and consulting services, making dynamic simulation a daily ally for designers and technicians.
A glimpse into the future
The Agritechnica experience confirms that dynamic simulation is now an essential benchmark for those who want to innovate in the fluid power sector.
For our part, we will continue to promote an increasingly integrated approach to design, testing, and simulation, alongside companies that want to accelerate their technological development.
We would like to thank everyone who has dedicated their time and interest to us.
See you at the next event dedicated to mechatronics and dynamic simulation!
